47 (the countdown to 52 begins!)

47 weeks. As you may well have figured out, most of our weekly block pictures are in Logan's PJ's... that is because he is usually most cooperative in the mornings before his first nap. I think he is like me - we are MORNING PEOPLE.Since Chris and I began dating in 1997, he has also become more of a morning person than he used to be. Heck, he used to sleep until morning was over, literally! LOL

Logan is now really starting to pick up on what we are saying and doing. When we say outside, its like he understands we are about to go to his FAVORITE place. He even signed thank-you back to my mom and I last week. He does the sign for all done, but it looks like he is saying bye-bye. If I sign milk, he knows EXACTLY what I mean and crawls as fast as his legs and arms can move. I do not know if he gets the sign for bath, diaper change, and a few others yet, but he knows what we are saying when we speak those words.

He is quite the talker these days ( not sure what he is saying just yet) and he is a BIG FLIRT! He tries to get everyone to look at him and then acts shy when they do. Every time we go shopping he is always waving and smiling at the ladies... watch out once he learns to wink!!!

PRAYING??

I just had to post these 2 pics. We were at dinner and bout to eat when I took this first picture. He was actually about to sneeze, but it looked so cute like he was saying the blessing!!! I hope he will be doing that for real sometime soon :) The second picture is just cute... I had to post it, too!

On the Move

Logan Loves turning anything into a "car", so I thought we would let him try riding on a couple of toys outside. I put him on and he immediately knew what to do on the little red (or faded to pink now) car.

He kept going so fast that he would run over his own feet, so we decided to try him on "the quad" that we had purchased for our nephew about 6-7 years ago. He finally got the hang of pushing the button to make it go, but he cannot hold the button down, so he sort of burns out, then stops - and repeats that! As the battery started to run out, he started bouncing up and down on it, as to say, "uh, hello? You need to go faster!"

Now everytime we go to a toy store, he ooohs and aaaahs over the toys. (especially ones he can ride on) I put him in this car and on this bull at Toys-r-us. He loved them!

EASTER DINNER

We decided to go to Logan's for dinner with my family for Easter (thanks to my coupon clipping fetish). Unfortunately my SIL had to work and we missed her and Ms. Landry :)

Logan absolutely loves his nana and poppy. He has even started to cling to his uncle Rodney!

MY mom said she hates this picture, but I LOVE the joy that my mom and dad have on their face. It is so cute to see my dad like this....and Logan just eats it up! I keep saying, just wait till Landry gets here!!! My mom and dad are going to be whipped :)

Logan was such a ham!!!! He kept laughing and smiling - and trying to get my dad to laugh. My dad shrugs his shoulders when he really laughs, so Logan picked up on that and was imitating him! That got us all cracked up. He was a great eater at Logan's, too. He ate rolls, mashed potatoes, and sweet potatoes. I think he drank half of the cup of water they brought him. He also got to indulge in a few tiny bites of whipped cream from my dessert. He LOVED it. Unfortunately I think it got him hyper!!!

46 weeks & Happy Easter

This was Logan's first Easter. We did not do an Easter Egg Hunt or anything like that, we stayed home and then ate out with the family. Logan is 46 weeks... and changing daily. This week he DID NOT WANT TO EAT his solid food for about 4 days. I was starting to think he might be 2 and still on the bottle!!!! Then, on Friday he started eating, and I mean EATING!!!! 1 1/2 jars of food and eating OUR food. I guess it is one step back and 2 forward these days. I am still waiting on the 2 forward as far as sleeping at night goes!!! He does really well without sleep, so I am happy for that, but mommy and daddy are in need of a few nights of sleep :)

I bought Logan this little duck basket because we took bluebonnet pictures Saturday. I wanted to have something to distract him if I needed it. He is trying to bust the bottom out of it while frantically trying to move the blocks that I had nicely stacked. Chris had to try and distract him, but it only worked a few seconds. I got a GREAT picture of his new teeth, though!!!

I cannot believe his is so big!!

NEW PLAY TOY

I just HAD to get this tent from Khols... I think I was more excited than Logan was to have it in the playroom. Logan was a little unsure of going into it at first, but after I got in there, he like it. Chris stuck his head through the tunnel, and Logan went through to get him. After the first time, he wasn't too interested in going through the tunnel. I am glad I got pictures of the only time he went in there.

TOOTH BRUSHIN' and SLEEP!!!!

Now that Logan has 4 teeth in FULL VIEW, we have been "brushing" every morning after his diaper change and every night after bath. He REALLY enjoys us brushing his teeth (maybe because it feels good on his gums) and he enjoys "brushing" afterwards on his own. He even insists on brushing my teeth - If I do not open and show my teeth for him to brush, he pushes harder until I do. No pretend brushing for him :)

Lastnight was THE FIRST NIGHT EVER that Logan slept all night (8-5). He stirred around once because his monitor alarm went off (he was in the corner of his crib), but he kept on sleeping after Chris patted his back a bit. I am SOOOO very thankful for the rest, as I know my hubby is as well. I have had MANY people praying for this day and I am so thankful. It may only be one night, or it may continue.... but it was a sweet rest we all had.

DADDY'S HELPER

I HAD to post these pics.... Logan LOVES to help his Daddy! I am SO blessed to have such a great hubby who is such and AWESOME father.

ASPASIANS

Saturday was my first outdoor craft fair and I could not have asked for better weather! My friend Jill and I had a booth together and it turned out really well. I think we learned alot for our next show, which is in May (soon). I took a few pictures - these were after we moved everything around about 3-4 times because the sun was in full force! We have a new plan for setting up and displaying... I think it will look MUCH better, and less cluttered.

My sweet hubby helped me so much - he actually stayed all day and gave up his day to do things for me. Jill's hubby was there most of the day too- it was nice having them there to help us.

Lots of friends and family came out to visit, and I really appreciate all of the
support! THANKS EVERYONE :)

My mom watched Logan all day. THANKS MOM!!!!

45 weeks ....get the blocks outts here!

Logan now has 4 teeth that are VERY visible. He was fussy an afternoon or 2 this week, but his other 2 top teeth really dropped down and when he smiles you can see 3 of them. the other one is still sitting a little high. He is started to try and stand up a little on his own from a sitting position, and gets on his hands and feet and sticks his bottom in the air. He is such an energetic and funny little guy. He DOES NOT like sweet baby food anymore.... no apples, peaches, or pears. It is sweet potato this or that, or NOTHING! lol
He has really started to enjoy our food, and practically begs for it when we eat. I think that is a good sign. He eats rice, noodles, and crackers. I am thinking I may not be buying baby food much longer. Which is a good thing, but also reminds me that he is growing up WAY too fast.

As usual these days, he doesn't sit still long and the blocks are toys so we do what we can to get pics... they do not always have all the blocks in them, but we try!
