Gentle Zoo

A friend on FaceBook posted about this place called Gentle Zoo in Forney, so I figured why not try it out? My friend Janet and her two girls met us there. It was a beautiful sunny day- a little windy - but otherwise perfect weather! They had quite a bit of animals that you could pet and feed. Logan especially like the goats. He was laughing at them eating the food Janet bought for us to feed them. They had bunny rabbits, a nutra, chickens, turkey, llama, pigs, etc. They also had a bounce house, which we obviously didn't get in. Logan enjoyed the sandbox and riding the horses. (the kind you put $ in to ride) LOL

SBRING BREAK at the PARK

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!! I got this little shirt for Logan a while back and I am glad I remembered it! I think his expression says alot on the first picture... he finally woke up and was in a great mood after that!!!

My BEST FRIEND asked me to meet up at a park near where we live, so of course I wanted to get out since it was so nice. It was REALLY windy, but the sun finally came out and we had a blast. Her kids are older than Logan, but we got to visit and talk a little bit. My hubby got to stop by on his lunch break and hang out, too! I was so glad and of course Logan was happy to see Daddy!

Logan REALLY liked the swings. He was just chilling out and enjoyed relaxing as I pushed him.

I put Logan on this little thing and he enjoyed it, too. I was a little concerned he would fall through though since he does not sit still! LOL This is when my hubby showed up.

Logan enjoyed the slide but we obviously had to help him. He wanted to go himself though!

The last thing we did was put a blanket down for a snack and so that Logan could crawl around. He cracks me up! This time he actually got on the grass - but not much. I am sure its just a matter of time before he eats it or is rolling in it!

SPRING BREAK at THE ARBORETUM

This week has been a great week for Spring Break! I was determined to get out and about, so Logan and I went to the arboretum 2 days in a row. We had a BLAST both days and are ready to go back soon!

On Tuesday we went to the Arboretum with Erica (my SIL) and my friend from work and her daughter. Luckily Logan slept the whole way up here so we had a lot of time to look around before his next nap. Here are a few pics of when we first arrived... HE LOVES HIS SUNGLASSES!!!

I could not believe how beautiful the blooms were! I really wish I had someone to make my backyard look like this.

Here are a few pictures of me and Logan. It was such a nice day - a little cool at the start, but warmed up eventually.

We stopped about halfway through our walk so Logan could get out and play around a bit. I loved the expressions he was making feeling of the grass! He loved it. I got a really good picture of him and Hannah.

Here are a few random pics (including one of Logan and his Aunt Erica - and baby Landry) :

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PICTURE OUT OF ALL I TOOK BOTH DAYS... IT REALLY SUMS UP HAT A GREAT TIME LOGAN HAD! I LOVE THIS TOOTHLESS SMILE!

OK - ARBORETUM PART II - WEDNESDAY with NANA

We left AFTER he had a nap this time, but he still enjoyed the day (and of course his nana and I did, too!) We got there later than the previous day, and the parking lot looked full - just as we were pulling through the lot, a person was leaving - PRAISE THE LORD!!! :) Here are some pictures of when we first arrived.

We looked at all the flowers and strolled around to some of the castles they had set up. After about n hour, we stopped and set out a blanket and ate lunch. Logan was in awe of the birds that were around us. I think they ate more goldfish than Logan did!!!!

My mom took this after lunch (and diaper change) - He looks like he is taking a picture of her!

I am so glad Logan enjoyed the day and that the weather was so nice! I just loved going, especially 2 days in a row! i would go again tomorrow if I didn't already have plans!! LOL
So here are more pictures from our day....

WE HAD A GREAT TIME! I AM SUCH A BLESSED MOMMA (wife and daughter)

WEEKEND WRAP-UP

This weekend has been a really nice and relaxing weekend (mostly). Saturday morning my lovely hubby let me sleep in until 6:45! It was really nice to sleep past 5:30. In addition to sleeping in, he brought me breakfast in bed. (He REALLY racked up the brownie points) We got ready and my mom came over to watch Logan while we went to enjoy his/hers massages that I had surprised him with.
We got to the massage place and they had mixed everything up. As I was standing at the counter, this tall, dark, and not bad looking guy came to the desk, and asked if I was ready. UH, HELLO? I booked a female not a male to give me a massage... I am sure my facial expression was priceless because the lady at the desk looked at me, the guy was looking at me, and of course my hubby was looking at me, too! I was just going to cancel, but they got that part of it figured out. In my former "single life" and "pre-pregnany body", I might have jumped at the chance to have this guy as my massuer, but I am really modest and as a HAPPILY MARRIED woman, I just didn't find it very respectful.
My hubby went back for his massage, and I was waiting for my masseuse, when the guy at the front desk informed me they had no hot water, so I couldn't get the soak that was included in my package deal. OH MAN!!! This place was on STRIKE #2! They offered me a facial, and I kindly declined. They did extend my massage time by 30 minutes, and I am glad because my masseuse was awesome! I do not know if it was because its been so long since I have had a massage or what, but it was so relaxing. It was the massage I had always wanted... enough pressure to relieve stress but gentle enough to almost put me to sleep!
After a quick bite to eat, we headed home and spent the rest of the afternoon playing with Logan. It was way too windy for playing outside, so we stayed in while my hubby mowed the yard.

I cannot believe that logan is growing so fast and doing so much. He is always moving and I am not surprised that he is so slim! He goes from sun up to sun down. He is a handfull and a ball of energy, but you can't help but want to kiss and love on him. He is really developing a personality. h is mostly happy and playful, but as all babies, gets fussy from time to time. He is really starting to come out of his "shell", so long as mommy or daddy is there with him. He used to cry when I took him to church, but he is enjoying going and seeing people and even plays with another little "Logan" sometimes.

He cracks me up with this little snort and laugh thing he does now. It is too cute!

He is 40 weeks old today and I really do not know where the time has gone! This is not the best picture, but he will no longer sit still for me to take his block pictures!

I lOVE THIS LITTLE GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CANNOT WAIT FOR ALL NEXT WEEK WITH HIM!!!!!

SUYL - BIRTHDAY PARTIES

This week on SUYL - KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTIES!
I am VERY excited about this topic because my little sweetie pie is having his 1st birthday in June. I have actually been planning for it and buying things since Christmas! I hope to get lots of other ideas from other KELLY'SKORNER people!!

Logan LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so I am going with that as a theme. I am going to go with cupcakes instead of cake. I bought a cupcake tree, cupcake wrappers, and cupcake toppers.

I have been buying up stuff to go in little goody-bags. I found a bunch of cute items at Michaels at Christmas time, so I bought more than I probably needed to. I found mini coloring books, crayons, noise makers, puzzles, play-doh, rings (for the girls), stickers, and lots of other cute things. I will be making personalized goody bags for each kiddo who will be attending. I LOVE these bags :) (I had bought other goody-bags, but I do not like them now!)I also thought about making each kid a drawstring bag and embroidering their name on it, but that is alot of work for the amount of kiddos I will be inviting - not to mention I am hosting my S-I-L's baby shower the day before! :)

I am going to order this personlized banner from ETSY. I really like it and it will be a great keepsake.

I am still trying to figure out games to play - for now I am going to go with : "FIND THE BONES". Kids have to find bones (cut out from cardboard and decorated with their names) around the house by crawling on their hands and knees like PLUTO. I also thought of giving kids a task and then putting "mouskatools" in their goodie bags to help them accomplish it??? I think this may be ALOT of work, but it sounded fun!
****IF YOU KNOW OF ANY COOL GAMES, LET ME KNOW*****

I may have have a bubble machine outside (hopefully it is not TOO hot) so the kids can go out and play and the adults can get a small break. Or I may just give each kid bubbles in their goody-bag with a custom wrapper.
